Middletown – On Sunday, December 16, 2012 the Shenandoah FFA Chapter held its annual Snug Harbor Christmas party for the mentally disabled at the High School. Nearly 135 guests attended the afternoon that was full of fun and laughter. Santa Claus even made an appearance to hand out gifts to each and every guest in attendance. Guests were also treated to a hot meal provided by Barb Addison and live music by Walker County. Shenandoah FFA wants to thank its members for making this year's party a huge success! The NHS and FFA Toy Drive came to a close on Friday, December 14, 2012. The FFA would like to thank the community for their outstanding support in this event. Your contributions helped us in making someone’s Christmas brighter. Shenandoah FFA's and National Honor Society's toy drive has been in existence for over 40 years and has assisted hundreds of families during the holiday season. In other news, FFA members will be traveling on January 4 to the Indiana FFA Leadership Center to engage in the 2012 CDE(Career Development Event) Camp. This camp teaches younger and older members about new or revised CDE contests for the state of Indiana through educational presentations. Again many thanks for assisting Shenandoah FFA in making it another great year and we are already looking forward to next year. Happy Holidays from your local FFA chapter!
