February NewsShenandoah FFA is proud to announce 18 District Champions, 6 District Runner-up and 2 third place finishes in the February 9, 2012 district proficiency competition. A proficiency is a seventeen page application completed by an FFA member showcasing their agricultural involvement and includes goal setting and analysis, financial statements, skills, activities, and a resume. FFA members dedicate a tremendous amount of time to completing these challenging applications. The 18 District Champions will join 12 previous Shenandoah FFA District Champions for a total of 30 to compete at the state competition.

May NewsOn Saturday, May 19, 2012 Shenandoah FFA held its annual Awards Banquet for members, their families and guests of the community. The evening focused on honoring those members and guests for their efforts to efficiently and effectively run a large chapter. Sloan Griggs, the 2011-2012 Chapter President, called the Banquet Hall to order at six that evening and it concluded around eight, with Ann McCambridge the 2012-2013 Chapter President presiding. The final moments of the banquet celebrated the services of the past Chapter Officers and welcomed the newly elected 2012-2013 Chapter Officers. Shenandoah FFA would like to thank all those who attended the banquet. We are looking forward to June, when the 83rd Indiana FFA State Convention and Contest will commence at Purdue Univ.
